About the Role:
The Aboriginal Hub Practitioner will be responsible for providing culturally safe and responsive intake, assessment and support to Community Members at risk of or experiencing family violence in the Barwon Region. This role is a critical part of our team's efforts to make a real difference in the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to the Hub workforce on culturally safe and inclusive specialist family violence services, child and family services and adult's using family violence (AUFV) interventions.
- Work to build and maintain effective partnerships with Aboriginal specific services and Community within the Hub Network to support and elevate choice for Aboriginal people.
- Collaborate with the Wathaurong Family Violence Manager and Wathaurong Family Services Executive Manager to determine work locations and ensure alignment with Funding expectations, Community and Aboriginal Response Team needs.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong knowledge of Aboriginal cultures and histories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
