As a Senior Programme Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the department's commitment to manage all Aboriginal children through an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), increasing the number of Aboriginal children able to have case management and decision making with an ACCO.

This role is crucial in collaborating with the broader Child Protection programme to identify and prepare children for transfer to an ACCO, working closely with child protection practitioners at all levels.

You will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) in expanding their case contracting program or Aboriginal Children in Aboriginal Care program. This includes transportation of children, requiring a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel, including in country regions.

Additional hours may be required to ensure the wellbeing of children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Case planning review and case management, directly supporting cases where there is unacceptable risk to the child.
  • Collective leadership, fostering a culture where leaders are developed, valued and supported at all levels.
  • Knowledge sharing, exchanging critical information across the system to ensure shared understanding and timely action.
