HR Generalist Role

 

The successful candidate will be a skilled and experienced HR professional with a proven track record of delivering high-quality human resources services to internal stakeholders. In this key role, you will provide expert advice and support to the People & Culture team on all aspects of HR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and programs that align with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers and recruitment teams on staffing solutions.
  • Prepare and administer employment contracts, including onboarding new staff members.
  • Maintain the optimal function of the HRIS system, which may involve customization, maintenance of systems and modules.
  • Collaborate with management and the People & Culture team to identify opportunities for improvement in the HRIS system.
  • Conduct and analyze data from surveys of management and employees to inform HR initiatives.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports on HR trends, taking into account internal data and making recommendations for action.
  • Assist with the maintenance of staff records and conduct reference checks.
  • Develop and implement an internal communications plan to motivate and engage staff in collaboration with the wider P&C team.
  • Lead student recruitment and mentoring for the Cadet/Intern Program, acting as a mentor for cadets/interns and coach for hiring managers.
  • Develop and maintain training programs and other Learning & Development initiatives in TradeNet or similar information systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Human Resources or Organisational Development.
  • Emerging skills in training, interviewing and business partnering.
  • Good knowledge of P&C policies and practices.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity and discretion when handling staff issues and information.
  • Good time management and analytical skills.
  • Experience using an HRIS system.
  • Intermediate user of Office365, particularly Excel.
