Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HR professional to join our team as an HR Support Officer. As an integral member of our People & Culture Department, you will play a key role in supporting the HR Manager with various Human Resources policies, programs, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support in all areas of HR, including learning and development, payroll, remuneration, and WH&S.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers, the recruitment team, and external agencies to create effective staffing solutions that meet business needs.
  • Prepare employment contracts and onboard new staff members, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.
  • Maintain optimal function of the HRIS, including customization, maintenance of systems, and modules.
  • Work closely with management and the People & Culture team to identify system improvements and implement changes that enhance overall efficiency.
  • Conduct and collect data based on surveys of management and employees to inform business decisions.
  • Research and prepare reports on HR trends, analyzing internal data and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with the maintenance of staff records and conduct company-wide reference checks to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Develop and maintain an internal communications plan to motivate and engage staff, collaborating with the wider P&C team.
  • Lead student recruitment and mentor cadets/interns, providing coaching and guidance to hiring managers.
  • Design and deliver training programs and other L&D initiatives in TradeNet or similar information systems.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in human resources or Organizational Development is essential.
  • Emerging skills in training, interviewing, and business partnering are desirable.
  • Good knowledge of P&C policies and practices is necessary.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity and discretion when handling staff issues and information.
  • Excellent time management and analytical skills are required.
  • Experience using an HRIS is advantageous.
  • Intermediate user of Office365, particularly Excel, is preferred.
