Job Title: Surveillance Operations Specialist

Job Overview

Our client in Melbourne is seeking a skilled Surveillance Operations Specialist to support their Physical Security team. This contract role requires a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and configure video applications using Genetec software.
  • Configure Honeywell EBI access control systems and integrate them with Traka locker management software.
  • Implement ITIL processes for incident management, change management, and problem management.
  • Resolve Level 2 technical issues and perform troubleshooting as required.
  • Support application and database upgrades, server migrations, and test new access control and digital video systems.
  • Collaborate with customers and technicians to resolve system-related issues.
  • Conduct configuration reviews to ensure proper functionality and work on proof-of-concepts (POCs) for integrating solutions.
  • Adhere to agile methodology principles and be flexible to work in shifts and weekends as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Requirements:

  • End-to-end awareness of ITIL processes, including Windows migration, incident management, change management, and problem management.
  • Extensive knowledge of physical security systems, upgrade, and migration.
  • Awareness of digital IP cameras and security devices.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server Administration.
  • Concepts of enterprise system architecture are a plus.
  • Experience in SQL Administration.
  • Physical Security domain skills – good to have.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts.
  • Concepts of DevOps.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of IP cameras, security devices, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of access control systems and hardware devices.
  • Hands-on experience in Windows Server Administration.
  • Experience in supporting applications & database upgrades.
  • Work experience in shifts – round the clock as per requirement.
  • Work experience in providing weekend support – for planned activities.
