
Leading Invasive Species Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biosecurity Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide leadership and expertise in invasive species management, protecting and enhancing Queensland landscapes.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Leveraging preventative approaches to minimize the impacts of priority invasive pest species.
- Collaborating with team members to implement plans and activities that are technically sound and follow best management practices.
Invasive species have significant environmental, agricultural, and economic impacts. As our Senior Biosecurity Officer, you will play a critical role in reducing these impacts and helping the government prevent, respond to, and recover from biosecurity concerns.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a deep understanding of invasive species management principles. You will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
