Job Description

This Support Worker role is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will provide support and care to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance with daily living activities such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
  • Providing transportation assistance to clients.
  • Providing respite care to clients and their families.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of high school or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willing to work towards completion (highly regarded).
  • Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
