School Leaver Employment Supports Facilitator – Vocational Skills Development Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) Facilitator. As a SLES Facilitator, you will be responsible for designing and delivering vocational skills development programs that help young people with disability achieve their life and work goals.

You will work collaboratively with community organisations, prospective employers, registered training organisations, and other stakeholders to identify and create opportunities for young people to develop their life and work skills.

Your key responsibilities will include identifying and engaging with potential new entrants to SLES, completing risk assessments and discussing suitability of new participants and service offerings with relevant stakeholders, organising work experience and job opportunities that align with participant needs and employment goals, designing and delivering person-centred employment programs, and developing individualised job and action plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants, community agencies, and other professionals
  • Proficiency in the use of computer systems and software programs, including Microsoft Office
  • A customer-centric mindset and approach to work
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of NDIS and/or experience in employment services or similar industry is highly favourable
  • Flexibility to work across the week and on weekends as required
