Design Management Opportunity

A motivated and skilled Design Manager is sought to join our team, working closely under a highly experienced Senior Design Manager. This junior-mid level role is ideal for someone with solid technical grounding and niche project experience who thrives on detail, collaboration, and contributing to large-scale outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Design Manager in coordinating design documentation and consultant outputs.
  • Manage day-to-day design queries and ensure documentation aligns with project requirements.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design challenges quickly.
  • Ensure designs comply with NSW Class 2 building regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide clear communication across all stakeholders while keeping attention to detail front of mind.

About You:
  • Hold 3-5 years' experience in design management or coordination, ideally on Class 2 residential or shopping centre projects.
  • Possess strong documentation and coordination skills (Revit, AutoCAD, or similar exposure a plus).
  • Be enthusiastic, detail-focused, and collaborative—someone who takes ownership of their role while supporting senior leadership.
  • Be based in Newcastle (or surrounds) and open to occasional travel to the North Coast for project requirements.
  • Motivated to learn and develop under a senior mentor—not looking for a step-up to a senior role.
