Job Description

The Principal Consultant will bridge the gap between business and technical teams by solving complex Workday intersystem problems. They will guide clients through transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday HCM solution.

  • Become a Workday HCM and Learning product expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Leverage expertise to recommend best solution based on client's requirements, timeframe; with flexibility to adapt scope as additional needs are identified.
  • Guide customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and understanding of customer's unique business requirements at all stages of project.
  • Regularly engage and support client through all phases of project, ensuring smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday HCM solution.
  • Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping client, project team and Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to project.
  • Work alongside integration team to configure and test integrations between Workday solution and client's selected payroll and benefits providers.
  • Willingness to take leadership position on project, or Collaborative or Workday Product Partner Lead and/or DA Reviewer.
  • Display hands-on expertise of software, including iLoading customer data, moving configuration from tenant to tenant, and configuring business processes and security.
  • Utilize technical aptitude to convert and map data sources into data conversion templates via iLoads.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, HRIS or related field required;
  • 2+ years of Workday HCM and Learning functional implementation experience, highly desired.
  • 2-5 years Human Resources, Payroll, or Financial software experience, required.
  • 2-5 years implementing functional solutions with ERP or SaaS software, highly desired.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials Management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to effectively manage customer expectations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs.
