Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pastry chef to join our team as a qualified baker. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for baking a variety of high-quality bakery products, including artisan breads, pastries, and desserts.

Responsibilities

  • Baking and Pastry Production
    • Bake a wide range of high-quality bakery products, including breads, pastries, and desserts
    • Prepare and mix dough and pastry goods, including kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, and shaping
    • Operate multiple machines, including mixers, ovens, and proofers
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Ensure all baked goods meet high-quality standards
    • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve production goals
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • Certificate III in Patisserie or Bakery is preferred
  • Experience
    • Minimum 12 months' work experience in a bakery or pastry shop is preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Possess a sound knowledge of food safety and safe work practices
    • Be competent and experienced in all aspects of baking and pastry production
    • Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
    • Maintain high-quality standards
    • Possess strong time management and problem-solving skills
    • Have a team player attitude and high attention to detail
    • Speak and read good English
