Job Title:

Bird & Reptile Department Supervisor

About the Role

This is a full-time position as our department supervisor. You will report to store management daily to ensure the smooth operation of your department. You must also be available to work within a 7-day roster which will include weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and training a small team within a large retail environment
  • Communicating effectively and motivating your team
  • Using strong computer skills
  • Maintaining the welfare of all animals in the department
  • Maintaining good stock control for the department
  • Demonstrating superior customer service skills
Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role
  • Proven experience successfully managing stock levels
  • The ability to work in a team environment and motivate colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • The ability to develop working relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Great people management and customer service skills
