About This Opportunity:

This role is central to ensuring projects are scoped, funded, and governed effectively. Reporting to the Director, Asset Management & Performance, you will lead the development, optimization, and governance of our Annual Works Plan (AWP). Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing the AWP, ensuring projects are costed and delivery-ready.
  • Overseeing governance and compliance across maintenance and renewal programs.
  • Funding alignment and lifecycle cost planning for long-term asset sustainability.
  • Managing procurement and sourcing of essential items for program success.
  • Conducting technical assessments and ensuring readiness of work packages for delivery teams.
  • Monitoring financial performance, forecasting spend, and maintaining program integrity.
  • Leading performance reviews to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Building partnerships across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure program success.
  • Championing risk management and timely resolution of issues to realize project benefits.

Your Background:

You are an experienced program leader with a strong background in asset management, infrastructure delivery, and governance. You thrive in complex environments, lead with integrity, and bring a collaborative mindset to cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in infrastructure, transport, or construction program leadership.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, funding frameworks, and lifecycle planning.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Expertise in rail maintenance, renewals, or infrastructure delivery.
  • Skilled in cost estimation, procurement strategy, and risk mitigation.
  • Proficient in interpreting data and performance metrics to inform decisions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 55001 and asset management best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, or a related field.
