Human Resources Generalist

We're seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you'll play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our organization.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day hiring activities, from writing job advertisements and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and supporting onboarding. You'll also contribute across various aspects of HR, including employee relations, performance management, training and development, policy and compliance, and HR systems and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage recruitment activities from job design to onboarding, working closely with hiring managers to ensure a great candidate and new hire experience.
  • Provide practical, people-focused support on employee matters, helping build a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Contribute to the implementation and improvement of performance and feedback processes across the business.
  • Identify learning needs and coordinate initiatives to grow capability and support career progression.
  • Help maintain and align HR policies with Australian employment law, including the Fair Work Act, NES, and relevant awards.
  • Maintain HR records, manage workflows, and generate reports to support business decisions.
Requirements:
  • 3-8 years of HR generalist experience in an Australian context, with strong hands-on recruitment and onboarding expertise.
  • Understand Australian employment law (Fair Work Act, NES, awards) and are confident supporting performance management and employee development.
  • Skill in HR systems, data management, and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, stay organised under pressure, and manage competing priorities with confidence.
  • Adapt quickly to change, take initiative to improve processes, and balance structure with flexibility.
  • Build strong relationships, listen well, and genuinely care about people and their success.
  • Curious mindset, open to feedback, and bring warmth, professionalism, and clarity to your work.
