About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned Solar Design Engineer to oversee the conceptual and detailed engineering of solar projects.

This involves developing specifications and collaborating with management to address any engineering concerns that may arise.

  • You will be responsible for planning and conducting professional engineering work without direct supervision.
  • You will consult, recommend, and advise on specialist engineering areas.
  • You will supervise and coordinate multi-disciplined design activities.
  • You will control and manage technical interfaces between disciplines, with equipment suppliers and subcontractors.
  • You will assist in the preparation of forecasts and the constructability of projects.
  • You will supervise commissioning activities with site commissioning teams.

About You:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field is required.
  • Extensive experience in solar PV engineering, with a strong background in utility-scale solar projects up to 100MW, is essential.
  • You should be skilled in PVSyst, Cymcap, PVCase, RatedPower PV Design.
  • Strong analytical thinking, effective problem-solving, and clear communication skills are necessary.
  • You should be comfortable working collaboratively in diverse teams, managing multiple projects, and maintaining a strategic focus.
  • You should be open to travel for site-based work as needed.
