We are seeking a dedicated Contract Logistics Operational Contract Manager to join our growing Contract Logistics Team in Sydney's western suburbs.

Your Role

You will be part of our Contract Logistics team, leveraging your leadership expertise and skills to deliver Operational and Customer Excellence.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the overall performance of an operational account, including overall responsibility for a pre-agreed contract within a site to achieve all agreed financial and operational objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing, planning, organizing, staffing, and directing warehouse activities at the site to ensure all material and equipment is available and maintained to support operations.
  • Achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service, and profit.
  • Ensuring your teams deliver against their customer, site, and people KPIs.
  • Assisting with all activities relating to customer onboarding, retention, and operational excellence, collaborating at a contract level.
  • Driving productivity through engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement, ensuring your contract(s) meets or exceeds productivity targets.
  • Contributing information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.
  • Preparing and presenting all required customer updates.
  • Preparing required P&L with supporting commentary related to financial/service variances.
  • Training and developing your team to ensure robust succession planning.
  • Liaising with internal support resources and external providers (carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers).

Your Skills and Experiences

  • A minimum five years' experience in a local transport or 3PL organization.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Solid understanding of safety processes and protocols.
