Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Weed Control Specialist to join our team in the delivery of essential services to communities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful and diverse work that supports the south-east corner of NSW. The region features rural and coastal living, providing a dynamic and varied work environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will operate and maintain plant and equipment used for weed control on roadsides and public lands. They will also be responsible for maintaining comprehensive records and mapping to identify biosecurity matter extent, density, and control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain vehicle-mounted pressurised applicators, backpack units, and other equipment used for weed control.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and mapping of biosecurity matters.
  • Support the management of priority weed species and conduct treatments as required.
Requirements
  • A current NSW Class C and LR or higher Driver Licence
  • HLTAID003 – First Aid certification
  • RIIWHS206 – Control traffic with portable traffic control devices and temporary traffic signs certification
  • AHCCHM3037 – Prepare and Apply Chemicals to Control Pest, Weeds, and Diseases certification
  • AHCCHM304 – Transport, Handle, and Store Chemicals certification
