Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities

Dagun State School is a small, close-knit rural school nestled beneath the scenic Dagun Hills at the head of the picturesque Mary Valley.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-Day Activities
  1. Delivering and collecting mail, parcels and documents, recording and delivering messages, printing and photocopying, preparing classrooms for examinations, and maintaining various registers.
  2. Supporting security duties at the school, including using and maintaining the school security systems, banking of school funds, and locking and unlocking buildings.
  3. Clearing and hosing of drains and gutters, collection of waste, food and paper on school grounds, and coordinating the removal and/or disposal of rubbish as required.
  4. Evaluating compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, managing equipment records, and maintaining tools and equipment for repair services.
Assisting in Maintenance
  1. Providing assistance with maintenance activities, including clearing drains and gutters, collecting waste, and coordinating the removal of rubbish.

This role requires a proactive and reliable individual to assist in the maintenance of our school facilities. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently.
