Compliance Specialist

The role of Inventory Control Specialist is ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of compliance and regulatory affairs.
Job OverviewThis position involves assisting in the review of imported food products to ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have experience in the food sector, particularly in regulatory or compliance roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and develop compliant artwork/labels for food products.
- Develop ingredient labels for 'Fresh' food areas (Bakery, Deli, Food Court).
- Work closely with internal teams on matters relating to item reviews, regulatory compliance, and food safety requirements.
- Manage programs ensuring adherence to food safety expectations.
- Coordinate product testing programs, including shelf-life testing, nutritional testing, and ad hoc product testing requirements.
- Support recall and withdrawal program coordination.
- Provide support for investigating product incidents.
- Contribute to training programs for Buying teams on product regulations and food safety requirements.
Requirements:
Ideally, you should have a degree in Food Science/Technology, Applied Science, or a related field and possess:
- Experience in regulatory, compliance, or associated areas within the food sector.
- Understanding of Australian and New Zealand labelling requirements according to the regulatory landscape.
