Job Opportunity: Heritage Consultant

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in Sydney, AU. The role is responsible for producing technical outputs and collaborating with senior team members to ensure project delivery excellence.

This position requires a strong understanding of NSW heritage legislation and approvals processes, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, preparing Heritage Impact Statements (HIS), Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs), and conducting Aboriginal and historical heritage assessments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of due diligence assessments, field surveys, stakeholder consultation, and reporting.
  • Engagement with Traditional Owner groups, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Provision of strategic advice on heritage compliance in NSW.
  • Internal technical review and quality control of reports and proposals.

Requirements include:

  • Honours degree in Archaeology, Heritage Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in heritage consulting, with a focus on renewables or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of NSW heritage legislation and approvals processes.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting fieldwork and stakeholder consultation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
