Role OverviewThis role is focused on delivering technical outputs and working collaboratively with the Manager and senior team members to achieve Project Delivery Excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of Heritage Impact Statements (HIS), Cultural Heritage Management Plans (CHMPs), and due diligence assessments is essential.
- Conducting Aboriginal and historical heritage assessments, including field surveys, stakeholder consultation, and reporting, are critical tasks.
- Engaging with Traditional Owner groups, government agencies, and industry stakeholders is vital for success.
- Providing strategic advice on heritage compliance in NSW is a key requirement.
- Conducting internal technical review and quality control of reports and proposals, including processes, is necessary to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Producing accurate and complex technical deliverables, analysis, and reports is essential for effective project delivery.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members in heritage investigations and reporting is an important aspect of this role.
Candidates should possess an Honours or equivalent degree in Archaeology, Heritage Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 9 years of experience in heritage consulting, with a focus on renewables or infrastructure projects, is required.
- A strong understanding of NSW heritage legislation and approvals processes is essential.
- Demonstrated experience conducting fieldwork and stakeholder consultation is necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for success.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team is vital.
- Full Australian working rights and a valid driver's licence are also required.
