This role sits within the Retail Advanced Analytics & Data Chapter Area, responsible for leading the development and execution of credit risk acquisition and portfolio management strategies for Credit Cards, balancing growth, profitability, and risk.

As Chapter Lead, you'll play a dual role: leading and developing the chapter's capability while remaining hands-on in squad delivery. You'll manage performance and talent processes, foster team engagement, and contribute directly to strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute credit risk acquisition and portfolio management strategies for Credit Cards, balancing growth, profitability, and risk.
  • Provide strategic direction and thought leadership across credit decisioning, data analytics, and acquisition modelling.
  • Coach and develop a team of credit risk professionals, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Influence cross-functional squads and senior stakeholders across product, technology, modelling, and compliance.
  • Champion the use of advanced analytics and decisioning systems to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions.
  • Drive transformation initiatives including system upgrades and policy enhancements, all within an agile way of working.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in credit risk strategy, ideally in unsecured lending and originations.
  • Deep understanding of acquisition modelling, credit decisioning systems, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R.
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives end-to-end, from strategy design through approval and implementation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience influencing at senior levels.
  • Thrives in agile environments and has a track record of coaching and developing talent.
