We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Queensland, Australia. As an integral part of our operations, you'll play a vital role in ensuring timely and quality service to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist, your primary objective will be to support the Expediting Lead in maintaining Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT) levels and reducing overdue orders for top customers. You'll use your investigative skills to ensure all items meet customer requirements, identifying root causes where necessary to drive continuous improvement.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to Open Order & Back Order inquiries from customers with clear and informed updates until resolution
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to meeting customer needs by providing timely and quality service
  • Developing productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure rapport and trust are built
  • Identifying alternative service solutions through a deep understanding of customer needs
  • Improving processes or creating efficiencies within your work area and team
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in Customer Service, Industrial Supply, or Trade is advantageous
  • Telephony and Windows PC knowledge
  • Secondary qualification
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excel skills
  • A results-driven approach to building customer relationships
