Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical/Forensic Psychologist to join our team on the Gold Coast of Queensland.

This is a 2-year contract position offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable populations.

You will play a key role in providing comprehensive support to individuals with complex mental health, social, and legal needs.

Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and advocating for participants involved in our program.

You will coordinate and monitor services to ensure that clients receive appropriate support, engage in therapeutic interventions, and achieve their goals.

The role involves working with a forensic case load, requiring exposure to the criminal justice service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culturally responsive psychological and psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and consultations to meet the needs of individuals experiencing significant mental health conditions.
  • Risk assessments, including evaluations of suicide risk and violence risk, development of evidence-based safety plans, and provision of follow-up support, referrals, and treatment.
  • Provision of alcohol and drug assessments, neuropsychological assessments, and mental health reports as required.
Requirements:
  • A Master's qualification.
  • A current Police check (provided by the company).
  • A Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • AHPRA registration.
  • Valid driver's license and passport or birth certificate (for identification purposes).
