Senior Data Governance Specialist

The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute towards the development and implementation of a data governance framework that aligns with strategic priorities. This involves collaborating with business stakeholders to establish standards, policies, and processes that enhance data capture, sharing, and usage.

This specialist will support project planning, research, monitoring, and analysis to drive governance initiatives forward. They will also be responsible for engaging with data teams and SMEs to assess existing governance processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Data Governance Specialist will contribute towards documenting current data governance practices within the organization and develop strategies to improve data quality and security.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in data governance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of frameworks such as DAMA and DMBOK.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
