Strategic Intelligence Professional
">The youth detention centre environment requires a strategic approach to intelligence gathering and risk management. This role plays a crucial part in informing decision making by providing timely, accurate and relevant intelligence.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the effective operation of the Centre by leveraging your skills in data collection, analysis and assessment.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrate cultural capability to align with human rights standards and support programs aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Conduct Assessments: Collaborate with management to conduct intelligence assessments on security and intelligence matters.
- Manage Data: Collect and analyze data to produce intelligence products supporting Centre operations.
- Support Investigations: Assist with incident investigations using various methods and sources.
- Liaise with Agencies: Work with external agencies, including law enforcement and government departments.
- Participate in Exercises: Contribute to contingency exercises and provide recommendations on issues affecting Centre safety and security.
- Record Correspondence: Review and record client correspondence to maintain Centre safety and security.
- Self-Manage Priorities: Allocate tasks according to departmental policy and procedures.
