Procurement Officer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to provide expert advice and assurance on procurement and contract processes.

This role involves developing and implementing procurement plans, providing professional advice to internal teams and external entities, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve service delivery outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in Commonwealth Government procurement frameworks, end-to-end procurement experience, and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement plans, including request for tender documentation, panel arrangements, evaluations, negotiations, probity matters, contracts, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide timely professional advice to internal teams, business stakeholders, and external entities, escalating sensitive or complex issues as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external entities to achieve service delivery outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools, templates, and standard operating procedures.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of Commonwealth Government procurement frameworks, including Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Whole of Australian Government requirements.
  • End-to-end procurement experience, including reviewing and providing constructive advice on procurement plans, approval minutes, contracts, and evaluation reports.
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement, updating intranet pages, and delivering training.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and strategic directions.
