Leadership Opportunity: Executive Director Role

As the strategic leader of an organisation, you will drive operational and financial management to ensure sustainability and growth. Reporting to a Board, your key responsibilities will include leading operations, governance, compliance, and financial planning.

Representing Traditional Owners, you will build strong relationships with government agencies, regulators, partners, and community stakeholders. Your role will involve driving organisational performance, planning, risk management, and promoting cultural integrity to safeguard the rights and interests of the Bunurong people.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced executive leader with a proven record at senior level. You will bring strong commercial and financial management skills, including experience in budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. A collaborative leadership style and ability to build strong relationships are essential for this role.

The requirements for this position include:

  • Minimum 2 years senior executive experience in community and/or government services
  • Proven success in building strong stakeholder relationships and managing potential conflict between prominent community members
  • Strong commercial and operational management skills, including funding oversight, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated vision, strategic thinking, and operational planning in creating and implementing plans to achieve desired organisational outcomes
