Job Title: Chief Risk Officer

The Chief Risk Officer is a senior executive responsible for maintaining the overall risk management framework of the company. This role serves as the second line of defence, providing strategic focus on enterprise risk and ensuring that risk is aligned with the company's risk appetite and tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide relevant and insightful risk advice to the company regarding regulatory obligations, frameworks, policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Ensure control systems are appropriate and effective.
  • Report directly to the CEO and Country Head.
  • Have direct access to the Board and Board Committees, Global Internal Audit, and Legal functions.

General Management Responsibilities:

  • Determine delegated responsibilities of direct reports and supervise their discharge.
  • Supervise project-related responsibilities allocated to the Risk function by other project sponsors.
  • Escalate and advise on material issues to the Board, Board Committees, CEO, and Executive Committee members.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of the responsibilities of the Risk function as the second line of defence, including assessing and advising on risk culture, developing compliance frameworks, and supervising the Internal Whistleblower Protection Officer.
  • Discharge responsibilities consistently with the global management structure, operating model, and governance, risk management, and control frameworks.
