Job Summary

The Audio Visual Support Officer plays a crucial role in the delivery of electoral services, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional outcomes. This position requires technical expertise in audio visual equipment, outstanding communication skills, and a strong ability to provide administrative support.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on all audio-visual aspects within the Command Centre.
  • Assist in remediation of issues regarding audio and visual devices.
  • Ensure AV devices are operational before meetings.
  • Communicate with other AV specialists for assistance when required.
  • Support the smooth running of the Command Centre.
  • Provide administration support to the Command Centre.
  • Manage room access, system accesses, and room arrangements for meetings or increased staffing.
  • Administer sharepoint log books on the Command Centre SharePoint page.
  • Rearrange rooms as required for meetings or increased staffing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical skills in using audio visual equipment, including Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • Experience in supporting audio visual equipment and staff.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly with corporate systems and multimedia technologies.
  • Proven ability to act with discretion and integrity in managing sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support.
  • Ability to communicate effectively while responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
About the Role

This is an onsite role based in Canberra, working under direction from the AECCC Watch Keeper. The successful candidate will engage with AECCC staff and colleagues across the AEC to ensure efficient administrative functions. During Election Mode, extended hours may be required, and an elevated work cadence will be vital over extended timeframes.
