About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager/Portfolio Manager to lead our water infrastructure projects. This is a strategic role that requires a strong background in project management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of project managers, providing strategic direction and driving performance to achieve project objectives.
  2. Manage a portfolio of water infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  3. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise project performance, mitigate risks, and capitalise on opportunities.
  4. Act as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project life cycle.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, motivating and empowering them to achieve project objectives and exceed client expectations.
  6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, methodologies, and performance metrics.
  7. Provide accurate cost reports and forecasts, aligning with project limitations and deadlines.
  8. Support and develop team and individual capability through mentoring, feedback, celebrating successes, and assisting with individual development plans.
Requirements:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion, preferably within a tier 1 contracting environment.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in complex project management within the water industry.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, able to develop and execute plans to drive performance and deliver value.
  • Excel in dynamic contracting service-oriented environments.
  • Possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Showcase advanced analytical, planning, and prioritisation abilities, including financial planning and budgeting skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and lead a team of project managers, driving performance and achieving strategic objectives.
