About the Role

Macquarie's ANZ Compliance team plays a critical role in maintaining a comprehensive Compliance Framework to enable our businesses to discharge their regulatory and compliance obligations. As the Head of Compliance ANZ, you will be responsible for strengthening Macquarie's relationship with regulators across all its business and support groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of coordination for Macquarie's engagement with ANZ-based regulators, primarily ASIC.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to embed an effective and robust control environment, in line with regulatory standards, policies, and expectations.
  • Deliver expert advice and guidance on compliance matters in ANZ through the regional compliance teams.
  • Lead and mentor large and diverse teams, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a proven track record in team management.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable and strong track record of engagement with and acting as a point of contact for ASIC, including deep experience and knowledge of key aspects of ASIC's supervisory approach.
  • Extensive experience and expert market knowledge in financial markets and consumer credit activity, gained from equivalent roles in investment banks.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Australian regulatory environment and financial services regulation and its applicability to Macquarie's business and support groups.
  • Proven ability to guide and challenge senior stakeholders across diverse business and support groups on the interpretation of regulation.
