Clinical Nurse Specialist - Acute Care
About the Role:As a clinical nurse specialist, you will utilize your expertise to deliver high-quality patient care. This involves effectively carrying out the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, and documentation.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism in leadership roles.
- Coordinate and implement patient teaching, quality initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- A registered nurse is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care.
- Required to complete annual mandatory competencies and any unit-specific competencies identified by the Director/Designee related to patient population.
- Maintain a current portfolio submitted annually by March 1.
- Participate in committees with validation of participation.
- Solicit and validate patient/family satisfaction.
- Contribute to peer review for the unit.
- Develop bulletin boards or posters with educational information for staff/patients/family members.
