Urgent Care Registered Nurse
Job Description:- As a vital team member, you will ensure patients are identified and provided with prompt front-line care in collaboration with the Urgent Care medical practitioner.
- You will be responsible for triage of all patients who present to Urgent Care.
- Conduct comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments.
- Act promptly for any patients requiring emergency escalation or due to deterioration.
- Perform procedural work such as suturing and plastering.
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in the dynamic Urgent Care environment.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centered care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners.
- Ensure patients achieve desired clinical outcomes.
- Provide essential health education to patients.
- Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
- AHPRA Registered Nurse.
- Must be available evenings and weekends.
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check required.
- Previous experience in triage within an emergency department, remote nursing, or ICU is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in acute care settings.
- Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately.
- Strong communication skills and critical thinking.
- Autonomous and able to delegate tasks when necessary.
- Patient-focused approach.
