Job Overview

To succeed in this role, you will learn and conduct industry's best practices for repair and overhaul of propeller systems to support customers. This will be accomplished by personally conducting maintenance tasks while undergoing on-the-job apprenticeship training to attain a Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical Workshop) qualification.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic team environment. You will work closely with experienced technicians and supervisors to ensure the efficient flow of work through the workshop.

Responsibilities
  • Learns to perform inspections, repairs, and overhauls of propeller systems
  • Develops knowledge of technical instructions and assistance to be provided to customers within formal technical documents
  • Undertakes 'On the Job Training' to learn about technical publications and propeller repairs
  • Develops knowledge of applicable product lines and aftermarket contractual obligations
  • Learns how to perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, supporting quotations, and capturing sales and cost avoidance opportunities
  • Maintains strong environmental, health, and safety requirements aligned to company requirements
  • Utilizes provided tools to track and maintain customer queries to closure
  • Undertakes training as required to complete competencies required for Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical Workshop)
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of Site Quality, Safety Management, and EH&S policies and other compliance requirements
  • Assists and works with team members to ensure efficient workflow through the workshop
  • Actively participates as a member of the workshop team, contributing to discussions and making suggestions to improve team performance
Requirements

Experience working in the Aviation industry will be highly regarded. Experience working in other maintenance industries is also welcome.

Desirable Qualifications

A demonstrated commitment to learning and professional growth. A keen interest in aircraft/mechanical systems or components is desirable. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Ability to work in a small team and sound project/time management skills are also important. Proven ability to use initiative and solve problems, as well as a commitment to a healthy, safe, and compliant work environment are key characteristics for success in this role.
