About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farming Territory Development Specialist to join our team in Adelaide or other locations within South Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work with rural retailers, farmers, fencing contractors, government bodies, and industry groups to develop strong relationships and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximise sales revenue, margin, and volume of Waratah's rural products by establishing strong connections with end-users, distributors, and key influencers.
  • Develop sales plans to achieve targets and stay on top of market trends.
  • Achieve sales targets through effective performance.
  • Influence large contractors, end-users, and stakeholders by articulating product benefits, demonstrating products, and providing training.
  • Prepare proposals and detailed costings that consider environmental factors and promote higher-margin products when possible.
Requirements
  • A solid understanding of the Australian agricultural industry, preferably supported by an agricultural-related qualification.
  • A genuine passion for farming is essential for success in this role.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to deliver compelling presentations to individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a drive to succeed.
  • Participate in extensive training on various Waratah products.
  • Show enthusiasm for generating new business opportunities and leads.
  • Be a self-starter, willing to travel frequently, and hold a valid driver's license.
