Senior Electoral Leader Role

The Australian Electoral Commission is seeking a highly experienced and innovative leader to join its senior leadership team. About the Role:

  • Discharge statutory duties in accordance with electoral laws, ensuring the administration of elections and redistributions.
  • Maintain the quality and integrity of electoral processes, including meeting obligations under joint roll arrangements.
  • Monitor external developments, provide expert advice to the executive leadership team, and promote greater electoral participation in local communities.
  • Drive the performance of your team, ensuring business outcomes are achieved and operational efficiencies are implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to strategic directions and priorities for the agency.
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies through collaboration with other senior leaders.
  • Develop an environment that ensures sound planning, effective risk management, continuous improvement, and a strong service delivery focus.
  • Represent the commission in dealings with government agencies, conferences, and meetings.
