Children and Young People Supervisor

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. We are seeking an experienced Contact Worker to join our dynamic team.

The role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people during contact visits with their families. You will have the opportunity to work with vulnerable individuals and provide guidance and supervision to facilitate safe and positive interactions.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A commitment to the safety and well-being of children and young people
  • Tertiary qualification or working towards in a relevant discipline (e.g. social welfare, psychology, education counselling)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Excellent observational and report writing skills
  • Understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements
  • Sound knowledge of child development
  • Ability to remain impartial at all times
  • Ability to risk assess varying situations
  • Current drivers licence, comprehensively insured vehicle, mobile phone and access to a computer
