Occupational Therapist Role Overview

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be working in a dynamic and supportive team environment to make a positive impact on the lives of infants, children, and adults with cerebral palsy.


About The Position

The primary focus of this role is to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to clients through early intervention, casework, and community visits. You will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively, making informed decisions that shape the care provided.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients with cerebral palsy, focusing on enhancing their functional abilities and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Speech Pathologists and Physiotherapists, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients and their families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement interventions, and monitor client progress to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to clients, caregivers, and other stakeholders on occupational therapy principles and strategies.
  • Participate in research initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices within the field of occupational therapy.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home and community visits.
