Empowering Women in Recovery: A Dynamic Opportunity

Job Description:

This position plays a pivotal role in empowering women to take control of their lives and participate in their community. The successful candidate will provide alcohol and drug interventions, mental health support, group activities, and dual diagnosis counseling. They will oversee the delivery of center-based, group, and mobile support services. Key responsibilities include managing programs supporting women and children experiencing homelessness, participants involved in the Queensland Drug and Alcohol court, and early interventions for families and women exiting remand.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues impacting vulnerable individuals, with a focus on recovery-oriented practice.
  • Experience in providing person-centered care, including intake and assessment, care coordination, counseling, and crisis intervention.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing evidence-based interventions that support client engagement, harm reduction, and tenancy sustainment.
