About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support and Empowerment Specialist to provide exceptional care and support to our participants. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life and enhance their overall well-being.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized behavior support plans to address specific needs and goals.
- Encourage and facilitate participant engagement in various programs and activities that promote personal growth and development.
- Assist participants in achieving their individual goals through collaborative planning and support.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for participants to events and appointments.
- Perform administrative tasks such as recording progress notes, charts, and incident reports.
- Deliver personal care services, including showering, dressing, and grooming.
- Conduct domestic household duties like cleaning, cooking, and laundry.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in disability support, community service, or individual support, or equivalent experience.
- Current first aid and CPR certification.
- A valid Blue card and Yellow card, including NDIS worker screening clearance.
- A national police check.
- A COVID-19 vaccination certificate or immunization evidence.
- An empathetic and proactive approach to supporting people with disabilities from diverse backgrounds.
