Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Project Lead to spearhead our team in delivering high-profile civil engineering projects across regional Western Australia.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management, leadership, and technical expertise in civil engineering. They will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, inspecting sites, and managing assets to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.

This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. The selected candidate will work closely with various departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives.

Accountabilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in providing expert technical advice and consulting services to clients.
  • Manage a portfolio of civil and road-related upgrade and maintenance projects to meet client expectations.
  • Identify necessary technical resources required to complete projects and allocate them accordingly.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and mentoring to the team for safe and effective project delivery.
  • Supervise other staff members within the organization to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Review and critique engineering data, deliverables, documentation, and other project information as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Business administration, commerce, or project management degree (with equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a project engineer or similar role in the industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management.
  • Membership in a relevant professional association (e.g., Engineers Australia).
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage project teams.

Requirements
