Road and Drainage Maintenance Officer

The role of the Road Maintenance Professional is pivotal in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of roads.
This position falls within the Infrastructure Department, which oversees the delivery of services to the community and guarantees adequate maintenance of existing road infrastructure.
The officer will be responsible for providing road works in accordance with the programmed maintenance of the road and roadside network within the Shire. This involves operating plant equipment, traffic control, general laboring, road and drainage maintenance, litter collection, material hauling, and other tasks as directed by the Team Leader Sealed Roads/Tech Operations Manager.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in road and drainage maintenance techniques, plant operation, and equipment management. They must also possess demonstrated experience in maintaining sealed and unsealed road surfaces, concreting footpath bays, and concrete maintenance works, collecting litter and dumped rubbish, operating relevant plant and equipment, providing a safe working environment, and minimizing environmental impact.
