The Job Description

This is a Full-time position where you will support our Gyprock Trade Centres across Queensland. You will travel between various locations across our sites in QLD, reporting to the Area Manager, joining our team and assisting in the deliveries of Gyprock to our customers and working within the warehouse.

 

Your Responsibilities

- Travel between various locations across our sites in QLD;
- Overnight stay may be required on some occasions;
- To assist in the day-to-day activities within the store;
- Processing orders, invoices and payments;
- Maintaining high standards of displays and merchandising in our store;
- Serving customers in the warehouse part of the store;
- Warehouse operations including picking orders, inventory counts and general housekeeping;
- Covering the Store Manager position during absenteeism periods;
- Assisting with running reports.

 

What We Need From You

- Forklift licence and experience is essential;
- Experience in customer service or trade counter sales, preferably in the building or construction industry;
- Ability to handle sales transactions, process orders, and manage stock inquiries;
- Strong communication, interpersonal and basic computer skills;
- Ability to lift and move heavy products as required (manual handling involved);
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety procedures are essential;
- Flexibility in travelling to different stores each day, as required by the business.
