We are seeking a dedicated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in providing scheduling, quality assurance and project management support on all Geotechnical related matters.

The successful candidate will support the Engineering Department in delivering works of all Geotechnical activities, ensuring work carried out is compliant with regulatory and Deed requirements.

  • Support the Geotechnical Manager in managing the delivery of works
  • Supervise the Construction Department and Subcontractors to ensure compliance with regulatory and Deed requirements
  • Assist in identifying potential design issues and provide possible contingency solutions
  • Review design modifications and provide technical advice
  • Provide required data for internal and client reports
  • Support the Project's requirements in delivering a project against safety, quality, regulatory, legislative, environmental, safety and cost requirements
  • Track and document the approval process
  • Deliver foundations, retaining structures, and other geotechnical elements for transmission towers and related infrastructure
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Work closely with civil, structural, and electrical engineers to integrate geotechnical solutions into the overall construction delivery
  • Participate in project meetings and provide geotechnical insights and recommendations
Critical Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
  • At least 3 years' experience in Transmission Line infrastructure projects or similar large construction projects
  • Tier 1 contractor experience
  • Understanding of Construction techniques and methodologies
  • Able to manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong time management, organisational, communication and problem solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and multitask effectively
