About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Category Buyer to join our dynamic team at THE ICONIC. As an Assistant Category Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting the Category Buyer to achieve sales growth within your category in alignment with THE ICONIC's commercial strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Category Buyer to drive sales growth within your category
  • Assist in the procurement of your category, including negotiating with vendors and managing inventory levels
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock levels and identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Collaborate with vendors to achieve mutual goals and foster partnerships
  • Develop relationships with internal key stakeholders such as Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations and Finance
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activity
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Buyer working in high volume business
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to time manage work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in Jira, Excel, BI, BC and knowledge of API integrations and platform software preferred
