The Iconic is seeking an experienced Assistant Category Buyer to join our dynamic Commercial team. As a key member of our Womenswear team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and maximizing profit within your category.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Category Buyer in achieving sales growth and profit targets within your category.
- Assist in the procurement of products, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of stock to meet customer demand.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock levels, working closely with the Category Buyer and Senior Category Buyer.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders, invoices, or deliveries.
- Analyze data and interpret trends to inform purchasing decisions and drive business growth.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations, and Finance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, ensuring The Iconic remains at the forefront of fashion retail.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Buyer in a high-volume business.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Jira, Excel, BI, BC, and knowledge of API integrations and platform software preferred.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
