Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality maintenance solutions and outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safety Management:
  • Ensure compliance with site safety protocols and guidelines.
Maintenance Services:
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of mobile plant equipment according to industry standards.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative maintenance.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Complete documentation and reporting to a high standard.
Housekeeping and Safety Culture:
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the maintenance team.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  1. A trade certificate in diesel fitting or equivalent qualification.
  2. Post-trade experience in the mining or heavy earthmoving industry.
  3. Hands-on experience with general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment.
  4. A current driver's license (Standard 11 certification is desirable).
  5. A proactive attitude towards safety and a commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.
