Tyre Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Tyre Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Coppabella Mine. Our mine complex is located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay and produces premium low-volatile pulverized coal for export markets.
About the Role:
This role plays a vital part in maintaining our equipment's operational readiness, ensuring it meets production targets. As a Tyre Fitter, you will work closely with the maintenance team to deliver a safety-focused and high-quality service to Peabody's mining equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and repair of mechanical components on light, medium, and heavy vehicles;
- Tread depth measurements, pressure readings, and inspections on all heavy earthmoving Mobile Equipment;
- Participating in effective shift changeovers and shift Pre-Starts;
- Completing a detailed written handover at the end of each shift;
- Active participation in the Continuous Improvement Program;
- Conducting site hazard reports;
- Minimizing production downtime in the event of breakdowns and scheduled maintenance by using effective shift planning techniques.
The Lifestyle:
This position offers a 7/7 roster and can accommodate a residential lifestyle in Moranbah or Nebo, DIDO, or FIFO lifestyle. Camp accommodation is provided.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A proactive approach to safety and quality in the workplace.
- Experience in tyre maintenance systems.
- OTR tyre fitting experience in the mining industry or significant experience in light and medium vehicle tyre fitting.
- Cert 2 in Heavy Vehicle Tyre Fitting is desirable.
- Forklift license is required.
