Role Summary

As a Technical Officer for Emergency Systems, you will collaborate closely with the Emergency Systems Manager to develop and implement critical communication systems. Your expertise in radio communications and IP network systems, along with project management skills, will enable you to integrate mission-critical systems and support volunteer members across NSW.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in integrating radio and telecommunications systems. You will be responsible for coordinating technical work, ensuring seamless integration of systems, and providing exceptional support to volunteer members.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Familiarity with VHF/UHF radio systems
  • Practical experience in the maritime or emergency services sector
  • Understanding of the radio and telecommunications regulatory environment in Australia
  • Experience maintaining virtualisation environments (e.g., VMware)
  • IP network knowledge including NBN, MPLS, LTE and microwave systems
